Charles Wesley Meadows

July 16, 1948 — October 2, 2021

Charles Wesley Meadows, retired U.S. Air Force veteran and evangelist, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021. He was born on July 16, 1948 in Lucasville, Ohio, the son of the late Lloyd E. and Violet Meadows.

First and foremost, Charles loved Jesus and His Word more than anything and faithfully lived by his convictions and his faith. He enjoyed serving as a pastor for many years at The Assemblies of God and loved preaching the Gospel as an evangelist. It was apparent to everyone who met him that Charles genuinely loved all people as Jesus would. He had the uncanny ability of making anyone smile and could pull a laugh out of anyone as he was a true jokester who loved to kid people. And although Charles loved spending time at church and in the community, his absolute favorite place was being at home with his wife, Sherry. In his free time, you could find him woodworking, cooking and baking, or spending time with the family he loved so much.

He is survived by his loving wife of eight years, Sherry A. Meadows; children, Christy Locke and Tammy Martin; grandchildren, Lucas and Conor Martin, Seth and Jordan Locke, and Rebekah, Kirsten, Aubrye and Elijah Henderson; and brother, James Meadows.

At the family's request, all services will be private.
