On the afternoon of Wednesday, January 10, 2024, Charlotte Anne Ray, 56, joined her Lord and Savior in heaven.
Charlotte was born on September 18, 1967, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She grew up in New Port News, Virginia where she attended and graduated high school. Charlotte enlisted in the United States Air Force where she served her country with pride and honor until her retirement. Following her military retirement, she went on to teach pre-kindergarten students at various schools. Charlotte worked beside her husband, Shane, helping him manage his business, Doctor Cleans Mobile Wash. A woman of many talents, Charlotte, was an excellent seamstress and participated in the local billiards league. She attended Free Point Church in Perry, Georgia. Her brother, Robby Chandler, preceded her in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband, Randall Shane Ray; children, Andrew Higgins and Margaret Hartman; stepchildren, Stevey Ray, Matthew Ray and Kristen West Ray (Brandon); grandson, Liam Hartman; step grandchildren, Paisley Ray, Railynn West, and Lane West; parents, Bob Chandler (Dot) of Smithville, Virginia and Madolyn Martin (Keith) of Shreveport, Louisiana and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with visitation beginning one hour prior. At the family’s request the burial will be private.
