Cheryl "Sherri" Ann Redd, age 73, of Kathleen, Georgia, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. Born on January 19, 1950, in Miami, Florida, Sherri was a beloved wife, mother, daughter and sister.

Sherri was born in Miami, where she spent her formative years and graduated from Miami High School in 1968. Following her passion for cosmetology, she relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, where she attended cosmetology school. Eventually, she found a place to call home in Riches, Dekalb County. It was there that she met the love of her life, Wade Allen Redd. Married on December 13, 1969, the couple embarked on a life together that took them first to Forsyth, before making the Middle Georgia area their permanent residence.

Sherri briefly worked on Robins Air Force Base. However, her true calling and joy came from serving her family as a dedicated homemaker. Her love for cooking was evident in every dish she prepared. Sherri took delight spending quality time with her family, especially while camping. She also loved to read.

Sherri will be remembered for the nurturing spirit and love that she shared with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Allen Redd; and parents, Arch Rudolph “Rudy” Hester.

Sherri is survived by her cherished daughter, Christi Roberts (Jason) of Kathleen; grandson, Jared Thomas Christian; mother, Floy “Noni” Green Hester; and brother, Michael James Hester (Beth); nieces and nephews, Jessica Ray, Ben Howard, Derek Hester, Davi Hester, and Michael Hester II; and several great nieces and nephews.
