Christine Elizabeth Lee

February 10, 1933 — July 4, 2024

Warner Robins

Christine Elizabeth Lee, 91, returned home to her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 4, 2024.

Christine was born on February 10, 1933, in Gulf Hammock, Florida to the late Thomas Lawson Meeks and Rosa Bessie Smallwood Meeks. A woman of steadfast faith, Christine was a recent member of Central Baptist Church and longtime member of Shirley Hills Baptist Church, where her servant's heart shone brightly. She dedicated herself to spreading love and wisdom through leadership roles, including guiding a vibrant ladies Sunday School class and serving as president of the "Keenagers" at Shirley Hills. Professionally, Christine was a hairstylist for a cumulative 20 years, working in both Bonaire and Centerville. Later, she excelled as both a Princess House Crystal and Premier Jewelry saleswoman, achieving top national sales rankings multiple times. Her passion for her work was evident in her success and in her enthusiastic mentorship of others in the art of selling. Her job not only fulfilled her financially but also fueled her love of travel, a passion she indulged in through the trips she earned and thoroughly enjoyed.

Beyond her professional achievements, Christine found joy in a multitude of hobbies. She possessed a natural charm that endeared her to everyone she met, making friends wherever she went. Her green thumb was renowned for the vibrant roses that always graced her impeccably tended yard. Those fortunate enough to taste her biscuits and chocolate cake knew her culinary expertise was unmatched. Christine leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and community. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

In addition to her parents, Christine was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Leonard Ambers Yancey, second husband, Walter B. Lee, and siblings, Thomas Lawson Meeks, Jr., Alvin Leon Meeks, Joy Meeks Langston, George “Buck” Meeks, and Rosa Iona Meeks.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Zandra Yancey Boyle (Robert) and Daryl Yancey (Kathy), both of Warner Robins, Georgia; grandchildren, Daniel Yancey (Ashley) of McDonough, Georgia and Jordan Yancey of Collierville, Tennessee; and great-grandchildren, Maggie Yancey and Arthur Yancey, both of McDonough. Georgia.
