Chris Ernst, age 20, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on the afternoon of Thursday, June 10, 2021.
Born on March 14, 2001 in Kennesaw, Georgia, Chris moved with his family to Perry, Georgia, at the age of five. Growing up, he played basketball, baseball and football, and excelled in school. Chris was highly intelligent and a great student whom all his teachers loved. He constantly received compliments from all of his teachers about how polite and kind he was. Chris graduated from Perry High School in 2019 and was currently attending Middle Georgia College to pursue his love of flying. He simultaneously worked as a screener at Houston Healthcare in Perry. Chris became a faithful member of Second Baptist Church in recent years, where he developed a true relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. For fun, he loved playing guitar and surfing with his dad. His big heart and love for all will forever be carried in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William and Barbara Evans; his paternal grandfather, Michael Johnson; and his uncle, Jim Arnett.
Chris will be fondly remembered by his loving parents, Christopher William Ernst of Perry and Gina Suckow (Craig) of Perry; sisters, Leah Ernst and Adelynn Ernst, both of Perry; paternal grandparents, Charles William Ernst of Arizona and Virginia Johnson of Powder Springs, Georgia; and uncles and aunts, Brian Scott Ernst (Vero), Gregory Steven Ernst (Diane), Gayle Arnett, Buck Whelchel, Nancy Whelchel and Randall Evans.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 15, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Reverend Chris Lones officiating. Chris will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery following the service.
Memorial donations may be given in memory of Chris to ONEWAY at Second Baptist Church, 2504 Moody Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
