Clara Agnue (Gunter) Hallman, 79, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2003. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 19, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 7 until 9 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, One Corporate Square, Suite 127, Atlanta, GA 30329, or to Hospice of Houston County, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
Mrs. Hallman was born in Leesville, SC, and moved to Warner Robins in 1966 from Mobile, AL. She became a Christian at an early age and was dedicated to caring for her home and family. She enjoyed baking and needlework, including sewing, quilting, crocheting, and embroidery. Mrs. Hallman also cared for and taught babies and children from preschool through second grade at Zion Baptist Church in Mobile, AL, and Green Acres Baptist Church in Warner Robins, GA. Her husband, James Venson Hallman, and parents, Lloyd Everette and Hulda Mae Gunter, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her six children, Jerolyn Viola Hallman, Centerville; Mona Lynn (Hallman) Steele, Willacoochee; Wyman Venson Hallman, Hawkinsville; Clarice Mae (Hallman) Humes, Douglas; Sarah Katherine Hallman, Statesboro; and Earline Joy (Hallman) Weeks, Douglas; sister, Sarah Elizabeth McClung, Charlotte, NC; 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and their families.
