On the morning of Saturday, January 2, 2021, Clarence Harold Allgood passed away at Regency Hospital in Macon, Georgia. He was 86 years old.
Born on October 5, 1934, in Harrison, Georgia, Clarence was the son of the late Willie Baker and Lessie Wommack Allgood. He proudly served his country in the United States Army before working at International Paper Company as a Production Supervisor for several years. In Clarence’s golden years, he enjoyed building model railroad trains and was a Mason. Clarence will be remembered with a smile for his quick-wit and appreciation of a good joke.
In addition to his parents, Clarence’s wife, Elaine Smith Allgood; brother, Dean Allgood, and great-granddaughter, Addison Laine Chavanne, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his daughter, Selina McKay (Paul) of Macon, Georgia; grandchildren, Lauren Chavanne (Chris) of Warner Robins, Kayley Keadle (Kevin) of Macon, Rachel McKay of Macon, and Abigail McKay of Macon; great-grandchildren, Kaden Keadle of Macon, Matthew Chavanne of Warner Robins; and brother, William Allgood (Betty) of Milledgeville; as well as a host of beloved extended family members.
A private graveside service will be held at Magnolia Park Mausoleum with Reverend Jeff Cleghorn officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Clarence Harold Allgood to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Suite A, Macon, Georgia 31201.
