Clarence “Gene” Sanneman, 78, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2007. Mr. Sanneman was born on May 9, 1929 in Beal, Indiana. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Before moving to Warner Robins, he had been a very active member of St. Teresa Catholic Church in Cordele. After working as a lineman, owning Suncoast Sign Service and Warner Robins Signs, he retired from Civil Service as a sheet metal aircraft mechanic at Robins Air Force Base. Gene was a motorcycle enthusiast, an avid NASCAR fan, and he loved to restore antique cars.
Gene’s parents, Clarence August Sanneman and Mable Deckard Reynolds, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife of fifty-eight years, Florence “Fassi” Sanneman, Warner Robins; daughters, Deborah Jean Rutskin (Peter), Key West, FL; Susan Denise Kelly (William), Reston, VA; Myra Joy Warhola (Mark), Tampa, FL; son, Douglas August Sanneman; Warner Robins; sisters, Glenna Kay Fret, Clinton, IA; Rita Ray Lewis, Vincennes, IN; brothers Leroy Reynolds, Pendleton, IN; Sheldon Reynolds, Vincennes, IN; grandchildren, Lara Muslin, Brendan Kelly, Erin Sandene, Kathryn Kelly, Michael Warhola, Martel Warhola, Douglas August Sanneman II, Leslie Sanneman; great-grandchildren, Zachary Kelly, Owen Kelly, Anna Sandene, Mason Courtney, Marissa Sanneman, Dallas Sanneman and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a rosary on, Thursday, July 5, 2007 at 6:00 p.m., followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 6, 2007, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Building Fund, 250 S. Davis Dr. Warner Robins, GA 31088.
