Clarence ''Wayne'' Hagwood

February 22, 1945 — March 13, 2003

Clarence “Wayne” Hagwood, 58, died Thursday, March 13, 2003. Services will be held on Sunday, March 16 at 2:00pm in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00pm at McCullough Funeral Home.

Born in Clarke County, GA, Mr. Hagwood was the son of the late Clarence Edward and Virginia Hagwood. He was employed as a clerk by the Houston County Sheriffs Department. A veteran of the United States Air Force, Mr. Hagwood was retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base, where he had worked as a gyro mechanic. He was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Stacey Gassett (Jeff), Fort Valley; son, Wesley Hagwood (Tiffany), Toccoa, GA; brother, Ricky Hagwood, Watkinsville, GA; sisters, Carol Smith, Valentine, NE; Gail Adcock, Warner Robins, GA; and Kay Hobbs, Crawford, GA; and grandsons, Tyler, Brandon, and Blake Gassett, Fort Valley, GA.
