Claudia Blanchette, 66, entered into rest on Monday, July 30, 2012.
Claudia was born on April 6, 1946 in Sandersville, Georgia. As a licensed cosmetologist, she owned and operated Country Lantern Beauty Salon for a number of years. She later became an accomplished floral designer before retiring in 2005 from Hobby Town USA. She was a member of the Middle Georgia Orchid Society and the Doll Club of Middle Georgia. A person of strong Catholic faith, Claudia was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was a past President of the Council of Catholic Women. A friend to all animals and all people, she will be sincerely missed. Her son, John Thomas Blanchette; and parents, James and Florence Dilley, preceded her in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of forty-six years, Tommy Blanchette; children, Jennifer Williams (Cliff), and Jonathan Blanchette (Sheila); grandson, Thomas Williams; and sister, Patricia Porter (Larry).
A Rosary will be held on Thursday evening, August 2, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. with visitation following until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 3, 2012 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Monsignor Fred Nijem and Deacon Jim Hunt will officiate.
