Cleo V. Bloodworth, 82, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2006. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 1, at Memorial Heights Baptist Church, Perry, Georgia. There will be a reception in the fellowship hall at the church following the service. Interment will follow in Perry Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be given to the Salvation Army Safe House 305 Green Street Warner Robins, GA 31093.
Mrs. Bloodworth was born on November 1, 1923 in Roberta, Georgia. An incredible homemaker and mother, she worked as a Rosie the Riveter during WWII, worked at Gunn’s Peach Packing Shed for several years and was an in-home caretaker for over twenty years. Her husband, Willie E. Bloodworth, son, Sidney Bloodworth, and parents, Jim and Mattie Nations Vinson, all preceded her in death.
Survivors include six daughters and one son, Mary Bloodworth Callentine, Waco, TX; Rachel Bloodworth Langston, Perry; James Bloodworth, Lagrange; Rita Bloodworth Bryan, Kathleen; Frances Bloodworth Herzig, Kennesaw; Brenda Bloodworth Bates, Rome; Vivian Bloodworth, Kennesaw; fifteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
