Cliff Hunter, 83, died at home, after a long illness on Friday, March 30, 2012.
Mr. Hunter was born on December 7, 1928 in Alabama. His parents, Fredrick and Jimmy Hunter and siblings, Etta Scott, Effie Lowery, Fed Hunter, John Will Hunter, and Bill Hunter, all preceded him in death.
He served in the United States Air Force from 1946 – 1949, retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base in 1984 and retired again in 2002 from Lockheed Martin Corporation. Mr. Hunter was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, boating, golf and the company of his family and friends. He was the youngest of 16 siblings. His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Jerry Lucille Hunter, sons, Mike Hunter (Pam) and Tim Hunter; daughter, Tracy Waits (Marc); seven grandchildren, Nikie Hunter, Mikey Hunter, Morgan Aeschlimann, Jessica Edelmann, Megan Wright, Haley Waits and Matthew Hunter; four great grandchildren, and brother Woodrow Hunter.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 2, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with entombment following in Magnolia Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to The Christ Gospel Church Outreach Program, 120 Maxwell Drive Warner Robins, GA 31088, and (478)542-0953.
