Clint Allen Grant

Clint Allen Grant, 77, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2006. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 19, 2006 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, June 18, 2006 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.

Mr. Grant was born on May 5, 1929 in Mcalester, Oklahoma. He had many noteworthy accomplishments in his life-time. He retired from Colorado State in 1992. His last position held was case manager for the Colorado State Department of Corrections. He held an AA degree in Police Science, worked as a police officer, private detective, carpenter, hod carrier, teacher and air pollution inspector. He proudly served his country as an active duty Marine, Army National Guardsman and Air Force Reservist. Mr. Grant held the Diamond Belt in Heavy Weight Boxing for the state of California in 1951. His parents, Elige Buchanon Grant and Hattie Rockholt Grant, and his daughter, Lona J. Wasson, all preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia A. Grant, Canon City, CO; children, Scott Higginbotham, Missoula, MT; Judy Wright, Bessemer, AL; Clint A. Grant, Bonaire; Laverna A. Palmer, Summerville, SC; Randy L. Campbell, Brighton, CO; grandchildren, Gwen Jackson, Christina Higginbotham, Aimee Gentry, Jessica Grant, Danielle Defibaugh, David Sawyer, Scott Sawyer, Benjamin Campbell, Tony Campbell, Jennifer Campbell, and great-grandchildren, Gwenevere Gentry, Dakota Sawyer, Sierra Sawyer, Makenna Sawyer and Micah Sawyer.
