Clinton Braswell

Mr. Clinton Braswell was born on January 14, 1941 in Roberta, GA to the parentage of the late Charlie and Willie Etta Braswell. He graduated from the Crawford County Training School of Roberta, Georgia in May 1959. He married Clara Jones in 1958, from that union came eight wonderful children. In 1990, he married Charlotte Jackson-Chatfield and remained married until her death.

Mr. Braswell moved to Warner Robins to pursue his privately owned business in brick masonry until his retirement. He joined Olive Grove Baptist Church in Roberta, Georgia at an early age. He enjoyed fishing, disc jockeying, making others laugh, and shooting squirrels from his front porch. As an accomplished cook, his specialties were sweet potato pies, Brunswick stew, salmon patties, and biscuits.

Mr. Braswell is survived by his children: Mae Washington, Maggie Brown (Quintin), Sarah Braswell, Anthony Braswell (Tesserie), Bobby Braswell, Barbara Anderson (Anthony), Sherri Lynn Brooks (Joseph), Clara D Braswell, Debbie Scott (Henry), Donald Jackson, Ronnie Chatfield (Sally); brothers/sister Sterling Braswell (Judy), Bennie Braswell (Susan), Barbara Williams; sister-in-law Irene McKenzie and thirty-four grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Devoted grandson Horace Wayne Jackson (Jonell), best friend Johnnie Wilson (Willie Mae), devoted nephew Ulysses Braswell, Jr. and niece Sherry Braswell Raines.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 15, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Following the service, Mr. Braswell will be laid to rest in Ferguson Memorial Gardens.
