CMSgt Buel A. Dyer (USAF, Ret.)
Warner Robins – Buel A. Dyer, 78, entered into rest on Tuesday, April 20, 2010.
Mr. Dyer was born on November 29, 1931, in Morganfield, Kentucky. With pride and honor he served his country in the United States Air Force, attaining the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. Chief Dyer was a participant in the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. After retiring from the military, he was employed with Lockheed Sanders. Mr. Dyer was a five time President of the Dixie Crow Chapter Association of Old Crows, where he served on the board for twenty-seven years. He was on the board for the Warner Robins, Chamber of Commerce, for five years. Many years were spent as a volunteer at the Museum of Aviation and the Food Bank at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of which he was a member. His wife, Sara M. Dyer, and parents, Perry A. Dyer and Anna Mae Dyer, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his sister, Eva Clara Stone (Leroy), Morganfield, KY.; brothers, Joseph B. Dyer (Peggy Rose), Morganfield, KY.; and James Perry Dyer (Julie), Chino Hills, CA; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Scripture Service followed with a visitation will be Monday, April 26, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with full military honors following the mass. Monsignor Fred Nijem and Deacon Jim Hunt officiating. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to Sacred Heart Catholic Church. 300 S.Davis Drive, WR, GA.
