CMSgt. Gary Hudgens, 59, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2007.
CMSgt. Hudgens was born on July 21, 1947 in Delta, Colorado. He was of the Catholic Faith. Gary was a college graduate having received five degrees with Masters being the highest. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, he was a Bronze Star recipient, serving during the Vietnam Era. He retired after earning the rank of CMSgt. and was on the Inspector General Team. A man of many accomplishments, he served as a Chaplain with the American Legion, was a member of the local V.F.W.; and was very proud to be a member of Sons of Confederate Veterans. His father, R.T. Hudgens, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Adams Hudgens, Warner Robins; daughter and son-in-law, Meredith and Ryan Middaugh, Portland, OR; step-son, Kenneth Woodard, Warner Robins; mother, Lorena Peters Hudgens, Delta, CO; grandson, Elliott Middaugh, Portland, OR; brother and sister-in law, Dennis and Patricia Hudgens, Rushville, MO; and several loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 4, 2007 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to The American Cancer Society 804 Cherry Street Ste. A, Macon, GA 31201.
