Cmsgt. Gregory A. Kebil, Usaf (Ret.)

Kathleen, GA – CMSgt. Gregory A. Kebil, USAF (Ret.), passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2003 at the Houston Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, October 6 at the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will follow with full military funeral honors at Andersonville National Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at McCullough Funeral Home. In addition memorial service will be held in Littlestown, PA (further details to be announced.) In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that checks be made out to John M. Kebil (eight year old son) for “deposit only.”

CMSgt. Kebil was born on May 29, 1957, in Pennsylvania, to Bernard and Beverly Kebil. Gregory graduated from Littlestown High School, PA in 1975. In 1975, he joined the Air Force and served his country until 2003, he retired at Robins AFB, GA after 28 years.

The following awards and decorations were received during his service with the Air Force: Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with 2 devices, Air Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal with 4 devices, Air Force Achievement Medal with 1 device, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, National Defense Service Medal with 1 device, Southwest Asia Service Medal with 1 device, Kuwait Liberation Medal Kuwait.

Gregory married Thelma in 1991 in Clark AFB, Philippines. He liked motorcycles (Harley Davidson Cycles), model trains, and was an avid fan of NASCAR. He is survived by his wife, Thelma, Warner Robins; son, John, Warner Robins; brother, Christopher, and his wife, Carol, McSherrystown, PA; parents, Bernard and Beverly Kebil, Littlestown, PA; maternal grandmother, Olive “Polly” Hansford, Littlestown, PA.

He will be greatly missed by all his friends and family.
