Cmsgt. Hurlie D. "Woody" Woodham Usaf (Ret)

August 8, 1931 — December 5, 2005

Hurlie D. Woodham, 74, went to be with our Savior on Monday, December 5, 2005. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2005, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, December 9, 2005 from 6 until 9 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Office of Development, International Shrine Headquarter, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Florida 33607-1460.

Mr. Woodham was born on August 8, 1931 in Barbour County, Alabama. Mr. Woodham retired after over twenty-six years in the United States Air Force from Wright Patterson AFB Dayton, Ohio. He served in Korea and Vietnam. After retiring from the Air Force, Mr. Woodham worked for BDM International in Saudi Arabia. He moved to Byron, Georgia in 1985 with BDM to teach RDB at Robins Air Force Base until retiring again in 1996. Mr. Woodham traveled to every state in the union in his motor home with his friend Cynthia Marlow Samborski. When they completed their trip to Alaska in 1997 they had been to all states. Mr. Woodham was still active in different activities in the community. He was a Mason and a Shriner.

His wife, Bertha Quick Woodham, parents, Arthur and Robbie Woodham, daughter, Cynthia Woodham Liebert, brother, Herbert Woodham and granddaughter Harmony Dawn Day-Woodham preceded him in death.


Survivors include his son, Kerry Leigh Woodham, St. Augustine, Florida; brother, Bobbie Woodham, Dayton, Ohio; sister-in-law, Phyllis Woodham, El Dorado, Kansas; son-in-law, Louis Liebert, Pickerington, Ohio; grandchildren, Jaymi Liebert Polanco (Tymm), Gilbert, Arizona; Brooke Liebert Auberger, Pickerington, Ohio; Jeremy Forest Woodham, St. Augustine, Florida; great-grandchildren, Tyler Polanco, Taylan Polanco, Timmy Polanco, Travyn Polanco, Gilbert, Arizona; Kelsey Woodham, North Lewisburg, Ohio; beloved friends, Cynthia Marlow Samborski, Warner Robins; Marc Marlow, McDonough, Georgia; Kelsie Marlow, Warner Robins.
