James Roger Guile, Jr., 49, entered into rest on Saturday, September 4, 2021. He was born on December 27, 1971 in Penn Yan, New York, to the late James and Kathryn Guile.
On April 4, 1990, James proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force, and over the years, was assigned to multiple locations such as, Pope AFB, NC, Moody AFB, GA, and Langley AFB, VA. James received several honors and awards for his commitment, integrity and exemplary leadership and work ethic. He retired on January 1, 2015, having attained the rank of Chief Master Sergeant with 24 years and 9 months of loyal service to his country. Subsequently, he went on to serve as a government contractor and Civil Servant for seven years at Robins Air Force Base.
More than a successful military man, patriot and warrior, James was a devoted husband and father who loved his family more than life. He was his daughters’ biggest fan and his dogs’ favorite human. In addition, he was a great friend to many as he was funny and loyal to a tee. An avid hunter, Fall was James’s favorite time of year because he could hunt and follow all of his favorite sports teams, especially the Florida Gators. James was their biggest fan and could tell you all of the stats and every player’s name! He loved and followed every Gator sport. Southside Baptist was his church home.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Robert Apple.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 27 years, Sheri Lynn Guile; daughters, Hunter Brook Guile (2nd Lt. Peyton Marcus Craven) and Hayden Bailey Guile; sisters, Heidi Burns (Jeff) and Jacquelyn Kijawski (Larry); father-in-law, Walter Apple; mother-in-law, Tiny Randolph; brothers-in-law, Todd Apple (Tasha), Jeremy Randolph and Taite Randolph (Sherry); and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces-and-nephews.
