CMSgt Patricia "Patti" Moore, 46, passed away June 20, 2009 in her Warner Robins, Georgia home, after a five month battle with pancreatic cancer.
Patti, then Patti Bly, graduated from Parkersburg High School, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, in 1980 and subsequently enlisted in the Air Force. She proudly served for over twenty-eight years, attaining the rank of Chief Master Sergeant, a grade achieved by only one percent of the enlisted force. An avid runner, she loved to spend time outdoors, especially at the beach.
Her memory will be forever be treasured by children, Sarah and Joshua Langer; their father, Larry; parents, Robert Bly (Judith) and Susan Palmer (Charles); brothers, Paul and Scott Bly; sister, Robyn Jordan; grandmothers, Margret Bly and Bettina Sharp; several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her sons Adam and Eric Langer, sister, Megan Collins, and grandfathers, Marvin Bly and James Sharp.
Her Going Home Celebration will be held Friday, June 26 at 4:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home in Warner Robins. Military personnel are encouraged to attend in uniform. In honor of Patti's love for animals and her willingness to always take in strays, memorial donations may be made to the Warner Robins Animal Shelter at 206 Bay Street, Warner Robins GA 31088.
