CMSgt. Ronald J. Hoke, USAF (Ret.), 83, entered into rest on Saturday, March 2, 2024.
Ronald was born on January 1, 1941, in Phillpsburg, Ohio to the late Cleo and Goldie Hoke. Immediately following high school, Ronald enlisted and honorably served in the United States Air Force until retirement. From there, he began a Civil Service career until his second retirement at Robins Air Force Base. Five years ago, Ronald moved to Antebellum Grove where he made many wonderful friends and grew to care deeply for the staff. In his free time, he loved cheering on the University of Georgia, Ohio State, and the Atlanta Braves and in his younger years, enjoyed playing golf. His presence will be deeply missed by those dearest to him.
In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 26 years, Barbara Jean Hoke.
His memory will forever be treasured by his son, David Brent Hoke (JoAnne); stepchildren, Katrina Goff Nelson (Arch) and Kerby Alan Goff; grandchildren, Blake Goff, Garrett Goff, Parker Nelson Welton, Merrill Nelson, Breona Welch, Tammi Rager, Lisa Findley, and Daniel Hoke; sister, Betty Paules (Marv); along with 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 6, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Ronald will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
