Col. Robert H. “Bob” Farley died Thursday, November 21, 2002 at Houston Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 23 in the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately after the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the American Diabetes Association, Georgia Affiliate, One Corporate Square, Suite 127, Atlanta, GA, 30329 or to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Boulevard, Suite 1010, Rockville, MD, 20852.
Born in Trenton, NJ, Colonel Farley was a veteran of World War II, having served as a Fighter Pilot in the United States Air Force. He was decorated in the Asiatic Pacific Theater and was retired from active duty after 28 years of service to his country. He retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base where he was an Electronics Engineer and also spent several years working for Unisys as a Program Engineer. He was a member of the Hump Pilots Association. His parents, Matthew Mark and Elsie Christian Farley, and a brother, Tom Farley, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Jouana G. “Jo” Farley, Warner Robins; daughters, Karen Jordan, St. Augustine, FL; Shaun Childs, Alpharetta; and Maura Pipkins, Macon; brother, Kevin Farley, Brooklyn, NY; sister, Helen Turner, Columbus, NJ; and six grandchildren.
McCullough Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
