Anthony M. Del Giorno, 91, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, November 23, 2011.
Colonel Del Giorno was born on October 24, 1920 in New York, New York. With great pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Air Force for many years, having served in World War II, Korean Conflict and the Southeast Asian Conflict, before retiring as a Colonel.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of sixty-three years, Johanna; children, Heidi Netto, Warner Robins, Anthony Del Giorno (Teri), Kathleen, and Ralph Del Giorno (Sheila), Juliette; grandchildren, Julie Ford, Tommy Ford, Tyler Del Giorno, Alexandra Del Giorno and Heather Del Giorno; great-grandchild, Christopher Ford; and great-great grandchild, Karissa Ford; and beloved nephews across the United States.
A Rosary will be held Sunday, November 27, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. with visitation following until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Chaplain Thomas J. Fey, Lt. Col, USAF (Ret) officiating. The Committal Service will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery, with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to Priests For Life, P.O.
