Ray Morris, 71, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2006. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 25, in the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Centerville Cemetery. Mr. Morris was born on November 2, 1934 in Americus, Georgia. Ray was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam Era. He retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base where he worked in computer operations. Mr. Morris was also a painting contractor and property manager for Lenora Realty. He was a long-time member of Grace Baptist Church where he was a deacon and taught adult Sunday school. His greatest joys came from serving his church family and his own family as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. His parents, Curtis Elmo Morris and Mildred Dew Morris, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Dorothy “Dot” Morris, Centerville; children, Michael Ray Morris (Tonia), Mary Kaye Boyd (Ken), all of Warner Robins; brother, Kenneth Morris (Bobbie), Americus; sisters, Carol Thomas (Bickle), Rocky Ford; Katherine McCleaskey, Rhine; grandchildren, Kristina Williams, Kyle Morris, Kayla Boyd, Kelly Boyd and great grandson, Tristan.
