Cynthia Ann Rivenbark, beloved wife, mother, seasoned traveler, and dedicated community member, passed away on July 22, 2024, at the age of 61.
Cynthia was born on February 7, 1963, in Warner Robins, Georgia, where she spent her childhood and adolescence. She graduated from Warner Robins High School in 1981, where she demonstrated her passion for basketball, showcasing her athleticism and team spirit.
Cynthia married Wayland Mark Rivenbark, embarking on a life filled with adventure and purpose. Together, they journeyed across the globe, making homes in Alaska, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Texas, and eventually returning to Warner Robins.
Professionally, Cynthia worked as a branch manager at the National Bank of Alaska during her time in Anchorage. In Saudi Arabia, she dedicated herself to raising her children and was actively involved with the American Women of the Eastern Province. While living in Saudi Arabia, Cynthia cherished her summers in Alaska, where she indulged in her passion for fishing, especially for salmon. She relished every aspect of the process, from catching to cleaning and preserving her prized catches.
An avid knitter and crocheter, Cynthia also found joy in cooking, reading, and caring for animals. Her adventurous spirit led her to explore scuba diving and travel extensively alongside her husband, creating lasting memories across continents.
Spiritually, Cynthia found solace and community at Anchorage Baptist Temple and later at Central Baptist Church in Warner Robins.
She was immensely grateful for the opportunity to stay at home and raise her children, whom she loved dearly.
Cynthia leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of kindness, curiosity, and love for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, David and Mary Ann Pickard.
