Daniel Lee Kurtz, Jr.

Daniel Lee Kurtz, Jr., 58, walked into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, July 13, 2015.

On April 12, 1957, Daniel was born the first son of Mary Catherine Kurtz and the late Daniel Lee Kurtz, Sr. in Macon, Georgia. He was of the Baptist faith. Daniel graduated from Central High School in Macon where he played football and helped the team win the State Championship in 1975. He proudly earned a Bachelor's Degree in Social Science from Troy State University and was currently employed in Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. Danny had a love for camping and was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Order of the Arrow.

Daniel's memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Elaine Kurtz of Kathleen; children, Daniel Lee Kurtz, III of Bonaire and Helen Catherine Kurtz of Kathleen; mother, Mary Catherine Kurtz of Macon; brothers, Rick Kurtz (Debbie) of Dublin and Tim Kurtz (Wendy) of Macon; and several loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Daniel will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Mausoleum following the funeral service.
