David Alan Mcneal

David Alan McNeal, 49, entered into rest on Saturday, June 16, 2012.

David was born on April 21, 1963 in Warner Robins, Georgia. He was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church and a 1980 graduate of Jones County High School. David was employed in civil service at Robins Air Force Base where he worked with the 402d Electronics Maintenance Group as a Flight Director. David was a loving and gracious man; he truly enjoyed helping others with anything they needed. He was also retired Chief with the Jones County Volunteer Fire Department, Station 8, where he continued his volunteer work as a Fire Fighter. David was a devoted family man who adored his children. He was an excellent grill master who loved cooking out and spending time with his family and friends. His parents, Arthur Curtis McNeal, Louise Dillard McNeal; brother, John Wayne McNeal, and sister, Sharon Peacock, all preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his beloved children, A.J. McNeal and Courtney Layne McNeal, step mother who raised him as her own, Jewel C. McNeal, all of Gray; former spouse and mother of his children, Lisa McNeal, Kathleen; girlfriend, Donna Frady, Gray; brother, Larry McNeal (Carol), Warner Robins; sister, Dianne M. Sweitzer, Macon; a number of nieces, nephews, extended family members and so many loving friends.

Visitation will be Monday evening, June 18, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Southside Baptist Church in Warner Robins. Interment with full Firefighter's Honors will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully suggests donations to Jones County Volunteer Fire Rescue, P.O. Box 237, Gray, Georgia 31032.
