David Dewayne Shepherd

David Dewayne Shepherd, 31, suddenly passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2015.

David was born on July 14, 1983 in Macon, Georgia. He was a 2002 graduate of Southeast High School. He currently worked at Abilities Discovered, Inc. and attended The Assembly at Warner Robins. David was an avid hunter. He was a Civil War and history buff. He was a loving husband, father, son, and brother. David will be terribly missed by all who knew him.

His memory will forever be treasured by his devoted wife, Portia Deshaye Shepherd of Byron; children, Payten Shepherd and Mark Smith; mother, Vicki C. Adams (Steve) of The Rock, Georgia; father, David Lynn Shepherd of Lizella; sister, Melissa Shepherd of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; grandmother, Victoria Shepherd of Arab, Alabama; father-in-law, Larry Lindsey of Warner Robins; mother-in-law, Beverly Garner of Byron; and niece, Charleigh Ledrick.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 3, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
