David F. Dykes, age 68, passed away Monday, May 10, 2004. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 13, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following at Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 12 at McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Society for Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, Woodholme Medical Building, Suite 515, 1838 Greene Tree Road, Baltimore, MD 21208.
Mr. Dykes was born in Dodge County, GA the son of the late John Quincy Dykes and Nellie Jewell Dykes. He was retired from the Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base and was a former Lieutenant with the Warner Robins Police Department. Mr. Dykes was a founder of the Law Enforcement Association for Fellowship, past president of Warner Robins National Little League, a coach for the Little League, and a member of the Mason Tyrian #111.
Survivors included his wife, Kay Dykes, Warner Robins; sons, Tony Dykes (Cheryl), Warner Robins; and Dennis Dykes, Tampa, FL; daughter, Deneise Ricketson (David), Warner Robins; grandsons, Dusty Dykes and Clay Dykes, Warner Robins; granddaughter, Casey Kurth, Warner Robins; grandson Cody Kurth, Warner Robins; stepdaughter, Kim Barber, Jefferson; stepson, Kevin Perry, Jefferson; step-granddaughters, Kara Perry, Kadi Perry, and Courtney Barber, all of Jefferson; step-grandson, Hunter Barber, Jefferson; and sisters, Ruby Johnson, Juliette; Sara Heise, Candler, NC; and Annie Pavlovich, Hollywood, FL.
