David James Strickland

David James Strickland, 47, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2004 at Illini Hospital in Silva, Illinois. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 17, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Burial will be private.

Born in San Diego, CA, Mr. Strickland attended Northside High School in Warner Robins, GA. He was formerly employed as a carpenter with Lewis Construction. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of Central Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, James Lowell Strickland, and brother, Jimmy Strickland.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Peggy J. and David L. Smith, Byron; daughter, Jennifer Wilder, and son, Johnny Strickland, both of Mobile, AL; sisters, Cheryl Lewis and Kelly Sisson, both of Macon; brother, Danny Smith, Byron; and three grandchildren, Les, Brittany, and Jessica.
