A courageous Vietnam War veteran, David Lee Shepherd entered into rest at the age of 77, on Friday, July 22, 2022.
Born on October 13, 1944, in St. Clairsville, Ohio, David was the son of the late Webster Lee and Ola Boyd Reline Shepherd. He served in the United States Air Force before working as aircraft mechanic and later becoming an equipment specialist on Robins Air Force Base until his retirement. His hobbies included hunting and scuba diving. He was a known motorcycle enthusiast and an exceptional mechanic. Above all, David loved time spent with family and friends.
His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of 44 years, Teresa Carr Shepherd of Kathleen; daughters, Lisa Shepherd of St. Clairsville, Ohio, and Candace Shepherd of Queidersbach, Germany; grandson, Logan Klug; and half-siblings, Jerry Shepherd and Teri Parr.
A memorial gathering with David’s friends and family will be on Thursday, July 28, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A graveside memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 29, 2022, in Andersonville National Cemetery where David will be laid to rest with Military Honors.
