On the afternoon of Monday, May 22, 2017, David Bailey entered into rest at Houston Medical Center. He was 55 years old.
Born in Carrollton, Georgia on September 7, 1961, David was a graduate of Heard County High School and was an independent floor covering contractor. He loved working so much that he considered it a hobby. David enjoyed attending Southside Baptist Church and spending time with his family, as well.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Bailey.
David leaves his memory behind with his loving wife, Judy Bailey of Warner Robins; children, Connie Lawrence (Kenny) and Bubba Smith (Nikki), both of Warner Robins, Terra Elstun (Greg) of Mosley, Virginia, Jason Varnadoe (April) of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Troy Varnadoe (Melissa) of Bonaire, and Chelsea Edwards of Warner Robins; mother, Rachel Bailey of Franklin, Georgia; stepfather, Don Skinner; grandchildren, Andrew and Kasey Edwards, Zachery Smith, Sidney Braswell, Alexander and Aiden Elstun, and Gracie, Logan, Peyton, Hunter, Brenden, and Haley Varnadoe; great-grandchildren, Joey Perkins, and Carman and Tanner Edwards; sisters, Deborah Merciers (Michael) and Dianne Watson (Gene); nephew, Dillon Merciers; and niece, Jessica Lapointe.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 25th from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 26th at Southside Baptist Church with Pastor Jerry Walls officiating. Afterwards, Mr. Bailey will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
