David Robert Fischer, 74, walked through the gates of Heaven on Thursday, February 19, 2015.
David was born on September 28, 1940 in Medford, Wisconsin and was of the Catholic faith. A decorated United States Navy Veteran; he served during the Vietnam War and received numerous achievements and commendations. Chief Warrant Officer Fischer retired from the Navy after 30 years of dedicated service to his country.
He had many interests but he was a family man first and foremost. After retiring, he enjoyed caring for his youngest daughter, Charlie-Anna Fischer. David also delighted in playing cards, darts, and fishing in his free time. His parents, Peter and Agnes Fischer; and siblings, Alice and Marvin Fischer, and Delores Higgins, preceded him in death.
David's memory will forever be treasured by his loving children, Anna-Lisa Patterson (Delane) of Musella, Melanie Dupuis of Warner Robins, Angela Keels (Sean) of Wolframs-Eschenbach, Germany, and Charlie-Anna Fischer of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Douglas Dupuis, Danielle Williams, Diana Dupuis, Gabriella Dupuis, Zachary Andrews, Justin Andrews and DeAnna Patterson; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Angeline Patton of Warner Robins, Elaine Piller of Medford, Wisconsin, and Mary Ann Kearley of Port Richey, Florida; and numerous adoring nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Committal will be private.
