David "Wayne" Horne, 65, entered into rest on Friday, June 7, 2013.
Wayne was born on April 14, 1948 in Perry, Georgia. He was of the Baptist faith. Wayne was an Army Sergeant during the Vietnam War. He went on to work at Robins Air Force Base as a software technician and retired after twenty-six years of service. Wayne was a member of Future Farmers of America, lifetime member of the Handyman Club of America and also of the National Rifle Association. He also enjoyed flying RC model airplanes and walking in the woods. He was preceded in death by his father, James S. Horne, Sr., brother, James S. Horne, Jr.; and grandparents Dave and Tillie Faircloth and Lewis Jackson and Mary Elizabeth Thompson Horne.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of thirty-three years, Jayneil Stokes Horne; son, David W. Horne, Jr., Kathleen; mother, Louise Faircloth Horne, Perry; and sister Elaine Horne (Richard), Suwanee, Georgia.
Visitation will be Monday, June 10, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Houston Lake Baptist Church with interment following in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests signing up for organ donation. The family may be contacted at the home of Louise Horne.
