After a prolonged battle with cancer, Deanna Lynn Whidby passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022. She was 39 years old.
A Warner Robins native, Deanna graced the world with her presence on April 28, 1983. She attended Northside Middle School and Northside High School, where she directed her efforts to good grades and competition cheerleading. After graduating in the top five of her class, Deanna went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on marketing from Georgia Southern University. She then moved to Atlanta where she worked as a real estate salesperson for Harry Norman Real Estate. Deanna was awarded ‘Rookie of the Year’ her first year there and excelled throughout her career.
Deanna had a genuine love for life. She enjoyed traveling and cherished her time visiting Thailand with her mom to meet her extended family members. Deanna also loved spending time with her family and friends and helping others. She was truly beautiful inside and out.
She was preceded in death by her grandpa and grandma, Joe and Reba Whidby; step-grandma, Carol Kennedy; great-granny, Vertie Lee Whidby; and uncle, Steven Kennedy.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her mother, Kai Whidby Molencamp of Warner Robins; father, Terry Whidby of Warner Robins; grandma, Sue Kennedy of Warner Robins; grandpa, Ronald Kennedy of Bonaire; aunts and uncles, Kathy Whidby Sullivan of Springfield, Missouri, Lawrence Whidby (Cathie) of Macon, Sarah Franklin (Allen) of McDonough, and Ethan Brant (Mistie) of McDonough, and Denise Kennedy Franklin of McDonough; cousins, Lauren, Emma, Ally, Haley, McKenna, Catherine, Melissa, Kevin, Neal, Kellie, Tiphni, Tim; as well as a host of extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Reverend Stan Bailey officiating. Afterward, Deanna will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow the graveside service at the Farmhouse at McCullough located directly behind McCullough Funeral Home.
