Debby Alford, 59, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2015.
Debby was born on June 1, 1955 in Swainsboro, Georgia then moved to Warner Robins as a young child. She was a member of New Hope International Church of God. Debby was the lead singer of the Muddy River Band. During the early years of her career she received a Nashville recording contract. However she chose to remain with her family and the Band. Debby, along with the Muddy River Band, opened for several major artist including George Jones, Tammy Wynette, and many others. She loved music and time spent with the band but above all she loved the time she spent with her family.
Her father, Elmer Smith, and brother, Dewey Smith, preceded her in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her adoring husband of 31 years, Corky Alford, Warner Robins; son, Jason Jenkins, Nashville; mother, Ruby Johnson Smith, Warner Robins; and brother, Billy Smith, Lizella.
Visitation will be Friday, February 13, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services follow in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
