It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Deborah “Deneice” Herrera, a beloved Middle Georgia native, who peacefully left us on the morning of Wednesday, July 26, 2023. She was 49 years old.
Born on January 21, 1974, Deneice was the daughter of the late Douglas Raymond Booth and Elizabeth Spires. She was a vibrant soul who truly loved life. Her smile and positive outlook brightened the lives of all who crossed her path. Deneice’s enthusiasm for the world around her was contagious.
In addition to her parents, Deneice was preceded in death by her grandparents, Margaret Louise Spires and Alexander Spires; aunts and uncles, Julia Swann, Becky Boatner, William Spires, Sammy Spires, and Donald Spires; and father-in-law, Javier Herrera.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband, Jesus Javier Herrera; children, Jason Birmingham (Jim), Ashley Morgan, Spencer Himes, and Alex Herrera; sisters, Donna Clark (Mark) and Tracy McGee; uncle, Ronnie Spires (Ann); nephews, Justin Clark (Sabrina) and Johnathan Clark (Kristan); great-niece, Brinlee Clark; mother-in-law, Maria Alvarez; and siblings-in-law, Blanca, Rosio, Juana, Lu Pita, Per La, Fernando, Jesus, and Jose Herrera; and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation with family and friends will be Friday, July 28, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2023, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Deneice will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
