Debra Ann Harris

Our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Debra Harris, quietly passed away at home on the morning of Saturday, May 14, 2022. She is gone but will never be forgotten.

Born in Eastman, GA on May 5, 1956, Debra was the daughter of the late Oris and Vassie Faircloth Blankenship. She graduated from Dodge County High School and married the love of her life, Dexter, a short time after. Debra was happy to be a stay-at-home mom for her two girls while they grew up and was a wonderful homemaker. For fun, she enjoyed gardening, golfing, fishing, cooking, grilling and exercising, but time spent with her family was where she was happiest.

She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Dexter Harris of Byron; daughters, Susan Sanger (Sam) of PA and Melissa Batastini (Marc) of Warner Robins; and grandchildren, Matthew, Hailey, Anna, Ella and Luke.

A memorial service to celebrate Debra’s life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in memory of Debra to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
