Delilah B. Meade Lann, 77, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 17, 2012.
Ms. Lann was born on April 19, 1934, in Glenwood, Georgia. A Weapons Manufacturing Technician, she built ammunition and explosives for Maxon Company in Macon. She was a member of Avondale Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of fifty-three years, Lilas R. Lann; parents, Chalmas "Chal" F. Meade and Cassie Gerome Beasley Meade; son, Phillip Paul Lann; two grandsons, Austin Green and T.J. Lee; and sisters, Dorthea Gay, Dublin, Georgia, and Leah Taylor, Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving sons, Raymond Johnson (Delores), Byron, Lilas Reid Lann, Jr., (Donna), Byron, Jeff Lann, Warner Robins; daughters, Janice Jackson, Sandersville, Georgia, Roxanne Ussery, Macon, and Lisa Green (Dale), Warner Robins; siblings, Brenda Layfield, Dexter, Georgia, Mildred Warner, Kathleen, Charlie Meade, Lake Placid, Florida, and Veda Cook, New Albany, Mississippi; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 19, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2012, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Reverend Lewis Cooper officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations to American Heart Association, 5962 Zebulon Road PMB # 359, Macon GA 31210.
