Delora Jean Sargent, 59, of Warner Robins, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2020.
Born on February 1, 1961, in Corbin, Kentucky, Dee was the daughter of her loving parents, the late William and Margaret Cupp. She graduated from Whitley County High School in Williamsburg, Kentucky, and married her husband, Rick, on September 11, 1979 in Jellico, Tennessee. Dee enjoyed working as a daycare provider at Pope Air Force Base in North Carolina for many years, but later focused on being a stay-at-home mom. She was an exceptional wife and mother who cared deeply for her family.
Dee never met a stranger and always ensured that every child who came into her home was safe, healthy and happy; she was the typical neighborhood mom. Her humor made everyone laugh, then cry from laughing so hard. Dee’s kind words could ease a hurting spirit and she had encouraging words for anyone who needed them, especially her family. Her favorite thing to say later in life was “the greatest joy in my life right now are my grandkids, they will always have my heart.” The Assembly at Warner Robins was her church home.
She is survived by her husband, Rick Sargent; son, William Sargent (Carrie) and daughter, DeAnna Evors (Paul); grandchildren, Conner Sargent, Logan Sargent, and Caden Evors; brother, Thomas Cupp; and sisters, Patricia Shelton and Lafealse Simmons.
