Derrick M. Cadwell, 55, passed away early on Friday, July 3, 2020.
A native of Warner Robins, Georgia, Derrick was born on March 6, 1965, to Alva Jean Cadwell and the late Maxel Cadwell. He lived in Warner Robins until 15 years ago when he and his family moved to Elko. In the midst of a fulfilling 33-year Civil Service career at Robins Air Force Base as an AMXG Manpower Chief, Derrick was also an AMSOIL dealer. Riding four wheelers and loving on his dogs, Dizel, Duke, and Paige, were two of the places you could find him if he wasn’t woodworking or tinkering with cars. Derrick attended Southside Baptist Church.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Angela Schevene.
Derrick is survived by his loving wife, Tracy Cadwell, son, Brice Cadwell, and mother, Alva Jean Cadwell, all of Elko.
Visitation will be Monday, July 6, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2020, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Clark officiating. Derrick will be laid to rest at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, in Plainfield Baptist Church Cemetery in Eastman.
