Dewey Harold Tweed

Dewey Harold Tweed entered into rest on December 28,2024, at the age of 87. Born on September 2, 1937, in Union, South Carolina, Dewey lived a life marked by his commitment to service, both in his military career and in his professional endeavors with the United States Government.

Dewey’s military service was distinguished; he fought valiantly during the Vietnam conflict and retired with the rank of Master Sergeant. His precision and dedication were admired by those who served alongside him and left a lasting impact on his community and nation. In his profession as a computer specialist, Dewey contributed significantly to the technological advancements of his time, helping to streamline processes within the government and foster a more connected world.

Beyond his career, Dewey often found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly through watching television and staying connected with loved ones via his cell phone. 

He is survived by his beloved children, Sharon Matsie of Warner Robins, Georgia, and Charles Tweed of Glendale, Arizona. Dewey will be dearly missed by his family and those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Dewey is preceded in death by his parents, Dewey Harper Tweed and Alfreda E. Tweed, his first wife, Irene Maria Tweed, and his second wife, Theresa Tweed.

A visitation will be held on January 4, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at McCullough Funeral Home in Warner Robins, Georgia, with the funeral service following immediately at 2:00 PM in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in celebrating Dewey's remarkable life and honoring his memory.
