Dianne Harrington

Dianne Phelps Harrington, 81, entered into rest on Sunday, March 16, 2025.

Dianne was born on March 5, 1944, in Quitman, Georgia. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan College and dedicated her career to education, most recently teaching at Middle Georgia Technical College. A woman of deep faith, Dianne was a devoted member of The Well at Centerville and longed to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus.

She was a loving and devoted mother whose warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her. In her free time, she found joy in playing and watching tennis, a sport she loved, and spending treasured moments vacationing in Hilton Head with family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Her parents, Sherwood Alexander Phelps and Margaret Ethelia Lewis Phelps, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Mike Harrington of Greensboro, North Carolina and Marc Harrington (Kate) of Marietta, Georgia; grandchildren, Geneva Harrington, Savannah Harrington, Simon Harrington, Lea Harrington, Quinn Harrington, and Wes Harrington; sister, Susan Bodine and niece, Kelly Williams, along with many other loving family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at The Well at Centerville.
