Dixie Tillman Harte

November 16, 1920 — July 14, 2008

Dixie Harte, 87, entered into rest Monday, July 14, 2008.

Mrs. Harte was born on her father's farm near Ellington, Georgia, on November 16, 1920. A resident of Warner Robins since 1942, she was well regarded in the community as the owner of Harte's Shoe Shop. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Warner Robins, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Warner Robins Garden Club. Her Husband, Tip B Harte, parents, William Tillman and Holly Davis Tillman, and nine brothers and sisters all preceded her in death.

Forever treasuring her memory are her three children, Bob Harte, Warner Robins, Tip Harte, Louisiana and Bill Harte (Bo), Warner Robins; sisters, Margie Wincey (Zach), Valdosta, and Alice Weeks, Florida; brother, James Tillman, Moultrie; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 16, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2008, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Serenity Gate, 1220 Morningside Drive, Perry GA 31069.
