Dolly Streetman left this earth on the evening of Monday, October 19, 2020, at the age of 85. Born Dolly McDowell on January 9, 1935, she spent her youth in Perry, Georgia, and married the love of her life, Perry Streetman, Jr. on April 11, 1953. Dolly dedicated her life to serving the Lord and her husband, but was most proud of raising their children to know and love the Lord. When she wasn’t spending time with family and friends, you could find her indulging in her favorite pastime, shopping (especially at Belk)! First Baptist Church of Haynesville was Dolly’s church home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Clark and Henrietta Bell McDowell.
Those left to cherish Dolly’s memory are her loving husband of 67 years, Perry Thomas Streetman, Jr.; sons, Perry T. Streetman III (Peggy Johnson) and William Kenneth Streetman (Lia); grandchildren, Joshua Thomas Streetman, Travis Lee Streetman (Amber), Daniel Cole Streetman, and Tara Salter; great-grandchildren, Emma, Lily, and Walker Streetman; step-grandchildren, Laci Mullis, Krista Quick, and Austin Mullis; and brother, Willie Ed McDowell (Mary Ann).
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 23, 2020, at First Baptist Church of Haynesville with Reverend David Fisher officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Dolly will be laid to rest in Perry Memorial Gardens following the service.
McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with these arrangements.
