Dominique Sade Bowers, also known as “Mica” was born to Eyelette Bowers on May 12, 1985 at Harlem Hospital. Dominique was called home by the Lord on August 13, 2021.
Dominique was born and raised in Harlem, NY and joined the United States Navy at the age of 18, where she worked as a Seabee. After serving honorably for 8 years, she relocated to Virginia where she worked for the Virginia Department of Transportation.
She met the love of her life and partner, Niko, in February of 2019. Dominique was a down to earth, fun loving, caring person that often spoke her mind. Anyone who knew or met her knew that she was a devoted mother to her two boys.
Dominique is survived by her two sons, Nasir Taylor and Jaiden Cave, her fiancé Niko Zaharopoulos, her mother, Eyelette Bowers and step-father, Shannon Goodman, her mother-in-law, Maria Dimatos, her aunt, TiTi and uncle, Wayne Scott, her three brothers, Anthony Gorostiza, Denzell Washington, and Elijah Bowers-Thigpen, her niece, Sariah Washington, three great-aunts, Sadie, Marion, Barbara, two god sisters, one god brother, and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.
Dominique was greatly loved and respected by all those who knew her.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Dominique’s inurnment will be private.
