TSgt. Donald D. Kurtz, USAF (Ret.) of Warner Robins passed away September 18, 2020. He was born in Mentor, Minnesota to the late Frank Kurtz and Clara M. Desotel. He was preceded in death by brothers Floyd Kurtz, Erwin Kurtz, and Arlene Kurtz.
Donald served in the U.S. Air Force and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. His last duty station was at Robins Air Force Base with the 5th Combat Communications Group. Donald was a Telecommunication Systems Control Tech and an Airborne Early Warning Radar Specialist. He retired from the Air Force after more than 20 years of service. He was a lifelong member of the VFW American Legion and also a member of the Air Force Sergeant Association. His favorite pastimes were working in his garden and woodworking while drinking a cold beer.
Survivors include his daughter, Vera Breshears of Eureka, California, twin granddaughters, Crystal Huckleberry (Michael) and Christina Gossett (Jason), four great grandchildren, and his close friend and neighbor, Teresa Taylor.
A graveside service with full military honors will take place on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Magnolia Park Cemetery.
