Donald “Donnie” Lee Smith

Donald “Donnie” Lee Smith, age 56, of Warner Robins, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on July 19, 2024.

Donnie was born in Tehran, Iran in 1968, during his father's service in the Air Force. Upon his father’s military retirement, the family settled in Warner Robins, Georgia, where Donnie spent his formative years. He graduated from Northside High School in 1986 and embarked on a dedicated career. Initially working for Flint EMC, Donnie later transitioned to a role with the Air Force Civilian Service at Robins Air Force Base, specializing in electronics. He served faithfully in this capacity for the last 17 years.

Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, Harrel E. Smith and Mary A. Carroll.

He is survived by an older brother, Chuck Smith of Warner Robins, Georgia; and two older sisters, Lynn Alderson (Ed) of Columbus, Georgia, and Kim Smith (Ricky) of Warner Robins, Georgia; along with two nephews, John Burks (Olga) of Seattle, Washington, and Curtis Alderson (Bre) of Atlanta, Georgia; and two beautiful great nieces.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 27, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with his sister, Reverend Lynn Alderson officiating. Afterward, Donnie will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
