Donald J. Surette

Donald J. Surette, 75, passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2003 in his home. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 3, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Hospice of Houston County, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088.

Born on September 27, 1928, Mr. Surette was a native of Wakefield, Massachusetts. A veteran of the United States Navy, he served for two years at the end of WWII. He was also a 20-year veteran of the United States Air Force, including service in Vietnam. He retired from the USAF in 1974 and continued to live in Warner Robins. Mr. Surette was also retired from Dyneteria, Inc. He was a member of the VFW, the American Legion, Air Force Sergeants Association, and AARP. His parents, Ruben Surette and Mary Ducett Surette, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Nalley Surette, Warner Robins; sons, Donald J. Surette and Robert Surette, both of Oregon; daughter, Cheryl Honts, Pennsylvania; stepmother, Irene B. Surette, brothers, William Surette and Ronald Surette, and sisters, Barbara Duncan and Marjorie Fazio, all of Wakefield, MA; four stepchildren, six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

McCullough Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
