Donald Whiting, Jr.

Ellijay – Donald Whiting, Jr., 66, entered into rest on Sunday, February 07, 2010.

Mr. Whiting was born on May 18, 1943 in Monroe, Louisiana. With pride and honor he served his country in the United States Marines serving as the honor guard for President Kennedy. For thirty two years, he worked at Kennedy Space Center. An avid golfer, Mr. Whiting also enjoyed all sports and coaching little league. His parents, Donald Whiting, Sr. and Joanna Hamilton Whiting preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Beverly Whiting, Ellijay; children, Beverly Case (Philip) and Donald Whiting, III (Tasha), both of Warner Robins and Joseph Whiting, Ellijay; grandchildren, Britteny Codd, Kyle Codd, Ryan Case, Seth Case, Aaron Case and Beverly Case; brothers, Richard Whiting, Dan Whiting and Pat Buchannon and eight nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 11, 2010, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
